Americas and the Caribbean Fortaleza

The CBKC chose the city of Fortaleza, Ceará, as the location of the International Dog Show of the Americas and the Caribbean of 2018. Fortaleza has 2,5 million habitants and is the fifth biggest capital of the country. Its weather is tropical, with an average temperature of 27° Celsius and winds that get up to the speed of 32km/h, which makes it an ideal spot for the practice of nautical sports.

The people of Fortaleza are cheerful and hospitable, they receive tourists very well. The city has delicious local dishes and lots of seafood, which can be found on the restaurants and for sale, fresh, on the new fish market.

Fortaleza is known worldwide as the capital of humor, one of its attractions are the comedy shows that happen in show houses on the coast. It is one of Brazil’s most visited capitals, receiving tourists during all seasons, which is why the tourism is one of the biggest pillars of Fortaleza’s economy.
The International Dog Show of the Americas and the Caribbean will be held at the Centro de Eventos do Ceará, which is Brazil’s biggest and better equipped event center. It has cooling and lighting suited to guarantee environmental preservation.

The event center is located about 4,4 miles from Beira Mar, where the hotel chain can be found, the Centro de Eventos do Ceará has two big pavilions 14 meters high and an area of 13.500m². Each pavilion can host up to 30.000 people. The event center has escalators and elevators, as well as access ramps for disabled people and it has 3.200 parking spots.
